i24News – Israeli chef Assaf Granit’s cafe Shabour, positioned in Paris, was awarded its very first Michelin star on Monday.
The Michelin Guide lauded Shabour for its “creative cuisine” and its “trademark features” of an “unbridled environment, tough and all set decoration,” The Moments of Israel cited.
“This is not typical. I just cannot get about it. It is fantastic,” Granit told Ynet. “For me the largest thing listed here is that four Israeli companions from Jerusalem determined to open a cafe in Paris and did it with their funds and their vision.”
Shabour (“broken” in Hebrew) is Granit’s second restaurant in Paris – his initial, “Balagan” opened in 2017. He also owns eating places in London and Israel.

Shabour opened in late 2019 and experienced now been ranked among the most effective restaurants in the French capital the same year, as portion of a unique culinary problem of Le Figaroscope newspaper.
“This 12 months chefs have definitely earned it,” the Michelin Guide’s Intercontinental Director Gwendal Poullennec commented.
